The President of the regional state of Jubbaland has traveled to Mogadishu for discussions with SSC elders.
President Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe was in the nation’s capital for talks with elders from Sool, Eyn, and Sanaag.
They held the talks to find solutions for the ongoing clashes in Las Anod.
Las Anod has witnessed clashes between SSC-Khatumo and the Somaliland forces.
Madobe’s discussions with the traditional elders are part of the measures being undertaken to restore peace and stability in the region.
The elders have been in Mogadishu for several days now.
They already held talks with both President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on the same.
