A minister in Jubbaland’s regional government has appealed for immediate humanitarian assistance for victims of the ongoing drought in the region.
Mursal M. Khaliif, the Jubbaland Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, sent the appeal out on March 24.
He was speaking during an interview with Al Jazeera TV on Thursday.
In his interview, Khaliif asked for immediate assistance to the vulnerable communities in Jubbaland.
He also appealed for the same to the entire nation.
Without these, Khaliif said that Jubbaland would continue witnessing a rise in the number of deaths.
