Mursal M. Khalif, Jubbaland’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, has condemned the validation of electoral win by Yasin Farey.
Yasin Farey is the Acting Director of National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
On December 15, the Federal Dispute Resolution Committee allowed the controversial win by Farey to stand.
Farey won the polls that saw him elected the new Member of Parliament (MP) of the #HOP67.
His election stood despite tons of complaints by his opponents.
On Wednesday, Khalif condemned the decision by the Dispute Resolution Committee to allow the results to stand.
He called the entire electoral process that led to Farey’s win a “farce.”
Furthermore, he stated that inability and unwillingness to fix the irregularities could cause irreparable damages and chaos to the entire country.
