The residents of the regional state of Jubbaland need urgent humanitarian assistance.
Jubbaland’s President Ahmed Sheikh Islam Madobe called on stakeholders to respond to the humanitarian crisis urgently.
Madobe said the situation is now worse following the increased rains and floods in the region.
He spoke during a meeting on Tuesday with representatives of international and local aid agencies.
Madobe’s meeting with the aid agencies took place in Kismayo.
He informed the agencies’ representatives of the importance of acting fast to help flood-affected households in Jubbaland.
