The regional state of Jubbaland has announced that it would hold elections for three parliamentary seats on January 26.
Jubbaland’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) made this announcement on Thursday this week.
In its statement, the Jubbaland SEIT has set aside Saturday as the day for commencing registration.
The selection committee or delegates who will elect the new Members of Parliament (MPs) would be known on Saturday too.
On Sunday, SEIT is to start training the delegates before submitting their names.
Candidates who wish to vie in Wednesday’s elections then have a chance to register on January 25.
The seats that would be up for elections are HOP#126, HOP#118, and HOP#127.
