Jubbaland Vice President Mohamud Sayid Aden has criticized the recent decision by the federal government to deploy of Somali National Army (SNA) troops to Ras Kamboni.
Vice President Aden labelled the deployment “illegal” while expressing concerns about the potential for conflict if the issue is not addressed swiftly.
In a statement issued in Kismayo, he underscored the importance of political consensus and collaboration between federal and regional authorities, emphasizing that such unity is vital for ensuring stability and paving the way for direct elections in Somalia.
Aden stressed that with existing tensions in the region, actions perceived as unilateral or aggressive could exacerbate instability.
He called for dialogue and mutual understanding to prevent bloodshed and ensure peace, particularly as Somalia works towards implementing its political and electoral goals.
