Vice President Mohamud Sayid Adan of the regional state of Jubbaland presided over a ceremony held to hand over several fishing boats.
Adan presided over the ceremony held on Monday.
The handing over is part of a resilience project known as RECOVER.
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) undertook the project jointly with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The project seeks to address immediate income and food security needs in the region and beyond.
It also endeavors to promote long-term coastal community sustainability.
