Southern Somalia’s Jubbaland administration has thrown its weight behind the fresh Dhusamareb talks scheduled for February 1-3.
On January 31, the Jubbaland administration issued a communiqué highlighting its support for the talks designed to find solutions for the ongoing electoral impasse.
This news was revealed when James Swan, the United Nations Special Envoy to Somalia, arrived in Kismayo to kick off the last leg of his tour around the country.
Special Envoy Swan has been traveling to the five regional states around the country to find solutions for the polls crisis.
While in Kismayo, he is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Jubbaland leaders to discuss Somalia’s troubled elections.
