Drought-stricken families in Jubbaland have received cash donations from the regional Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
Officials from the humanitarian affairs ministry handed the cash donation as part of the IRF Emergency Drought Response Project on February 1.
Most of the donation was to households in Kismayo, Luuq, and Afmadow.
The donation was a collaborative effort between the humanitarian affairs ministry, Jubbaland, UKAID, British Embassy in Somalia, and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).
The households also benefited from community water vouchers.
