Kenya has assured travelers with Somali passports of improved services.
Starting today, Kenya will only take around 10 days to process visas for Somali travelers entering the country.
This follows the agreement that the two neighboring countries signed on Friday, July 15.
Somalia and Kenya signed the agreement following a meeting at State House Nairobi between President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Somalia President is in Nairobi on an official visit.
Somalis holding Somali Service Passports are now assured of visas free of charge whenever they travel to Kenya.
However, travelers with Somali Service Passports have to complete an Online Visa Application accompanied by a Note Verbale MoFA.
They will then receive their visas within 48 hours.
