Kenyan Cargo Plane Crash-Lands in Mogadishu’s International Airport

A cargo plane belonging to a Kenyan company crash-landed in Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport on Saturday.

Reports from witnesses and local authorities indicate that there were no casualties when the plane, which is registered to Silverstone Air Service, crash-landed at the airport.

However, one of the pilots suffered serious injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Reports indicate that the other pilot could still be caught up in the plane.

The plane had taken off from the airport on its journey to Beledweyne before turning back.

Authorities believe that the emergency landing was occasioned by problematic landing gears on the cargo plane.

The incident is the fourth in a series of mishaps that have involved Kenyan planes in Somalia this year.

While attempting to land, the plane crashed into a concrete barrier at the airport.
