Members of Parliament (MPs) from Kenya have called for the complete and immediate revocation of the agreement between Ethiopia and Somaliland.
The MPs are from the North Eastern part of the country.
They held a press briefing on Thursday to call upon the international community to intervene immediately in revoking the agreement Ethiopia signed with Somaliland on Monday.
The agreement empowers Ethiopia to lease 20km stretch of sea in Somaliland’s Berbera area.
For its part, Somaliland expects Ethiopia to be the first African country to grant it the international recognition it has sought for decades.
