Kenyan President Blasts African Nations for Inability to Support Somalia

President William Ruto of Kenya has blasted African nations for their inability to support Somalia financially.

Ruto was speaking during a summit in Kampala for countries contributing troops to the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).

President Ruto said that it was wrong for 54 African countries to be unable to raise $85 million needed to support Somalia.

Instead, they wait for non-African nations to send the funds.

He added that Kenya would continue supporting the counterterrorism efforts in Somalia.
