A Kenyan company that manufactures modern cookstoves has announced plans to venture into the Somaliland market.
BURN, a firm based in Ruiru Town in Kiambu County and renowned for making efficient and clean cooking solutions, plans to sell the cookstove to Somaliland households.
Mohamed Osman Adam, the company’s representative in the Horn of Africa region, said that it is engaging with stakeholders in Somaliland.
The firm issued a statement declaring its intentions to set up a local stakeholder public consultation to engage with prospective customers in various target markets.
BURN was launched in Kenya in 2014. Since then, it has established a strong following in the East African nation.
Consequently, it is now seeking new markets in the region; hence, the decision to move into Somaliland.
