Kenya’s Intelligence Chief in Mogadishu for Crucial Talks

Noordin Haji has traveled to Mogadishu for a series of crucial talks with his Somali counterparts.

Haji, who is primed to be the next Director-General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), arrived in the Somalia capital on Friday.

His counterpart Mahad Salad, the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), was at the Aden Adde International Airport to receive Haji.

Haji and Salad are scheduled to hold talks on wide-ranging issues.

He will also hold discussions with top Somali leaders on joint intelligence and security efforts between Somalia and Kenya to tackle terrorism.

They will also discuss ways of combating the Al-Shabaab threat.
