Hassan Ali Khaire, former Prime Minister of Somalia, met with several Members of Parliament (MPs) and Senators in Kenya.
According to sources, Khaire met with the politicians in Nairobi on October 13, 2020.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Khaire’s recent announcement that he intends to vie in the upcoming presidential elections.
In the last week, Khaire has already visited Djibouti officially, where he met with President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
He immediately traveled to Kenya at the conclusion of his two-day visit to Djibouti.
On Tuesday, he expressed delight at the “consultative meeting” with Somali MPs and Senators in Nairobi.
He also thanked the parliamentarians for the “unwavering support” demonstrated to Somalis.
