Kismayo families grappling with drought received relief food on February 9.
Around 3,700 households in different villages in Jubbaland’s administrative capital benefited from the food donation.
Local state authorities distributed the food supplies to families left displaced by the ongoing drought.
Abdulkadir Haji Mohamud Lugadhere, the Vice President of Jubbaland, supervised the food distribution.
He was in the company of Omar Abdullahi Mohamed Faraweyne, the District Commissioner of Kismayo.
Abdi Hussein, the Chairman of the Jubbaland Refugee Agency, accompanied them too.
Severe drought continues to ravage Jubbaland and other regions in the East African country.
