King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has launched humanitarian projects worth $2.2 million in Somaliland.
Hassan Mohamed Ali, the Minister of Planning and National Development in the Somaliland government, confirmed the news on Wednesday this week.
Ali expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for the humanitarian assistance extended to Somaliland and other Muslim nations around the world.
KSRelief is to embark on the projects in conjunction with the Norwegian Refugee Council.
According to both organizations, the projects are designed to offer humanitarian assistance to around 100,000 people in Somaliland.
Most of the funding would be directed towards education, water, environmental sanitation, and women and children’s rights.
