Kuwaiti firms have received an official invitation from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to invest in the East African nation.
Mohamed Abdirizak, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, invited the Kuwaiti companies officially on October 20.
He spoke during a meeting with top Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Director Generals from Kuwaiti on Wednesday.
Abdirizak met the CEOS and Director Generals in Kuwait City.
While in the Middle East nation, he also met with His Excellency Badr Mohamed Al-Saad.
Al-Saad is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
Other top business leaders he met with include Marwan Abdullah Al-Ghanem, the Director General of the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development.
The Somali minister reminded the Kuwaiti investors of the rich resources that Somalia boasts of, which include fish and minerals.
Moreover, Somalia is richly endowed with oil, fertile lands fit for agricultural use, and livestock.
