President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen of Somalia’s Southwest State, along with Deputy Prime Minister Abdisalam Ali, presided over the graduation ceremony of the Southwest State Special Police Force units on Wednesday.
The officers completed a rigorous six-month training program at the Ethiopian Army Training Camp in Baidoa.
According to an official statement, the training equipped the police force with essential skills to enhance security and counter terror threats posed by extremist groups.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen regional security and stability in Somalia.
