Southwest State President, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, issued a presidential decree on Saturday appointing new governors for Lower Shabelle and Bay.
Ibrahim Aden Najah as the Governor of Lower Shabelle and Ali Wardhere Doyow as the Governor of Baay region.
This marks Najah’s fourth term in this role, as he replaces Mohamed Barre Aden.
The appointments reflect ongoing efforts to ensure effective governance and address regional needs in Southwest State.
