Catriona Laing says that peace in Somalia will benefit the entire region.
Laing, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the United Nations, said this during her address at the Principles for Peace in Somalia.
In her speech, Laing spoke of the connection between peace in Somalia and the region.
“Peace in Somalia is intertwined with the peace of the entire Horn of Africa region,” said Laing.
She added that peace in Somalia will pay huge dividends for the region as a whole.
