Lawmakers Visit Bakool Military Camp to Boost Morale

BAKOOL — Federal lawmakers and senior government officials recently conducted a high-level visit to a Somali National Army (SNA) training facility in the Bakool region to boost troop morale and assess military readiness.

Empowering Youth for National Defense

The visiting delegation, led by Member of Parliament Abdullahi Black and comprising various senior military officers, interacted directly with hundreds of young recruits who are currently undergoing rigorous training to enhance the nation’s defense capabilities.

According to military authorities, these recruits are learning vital tactical skills focused on national defense and community protection. This intensive training serves as a core component of the Federal Government’s broader strategic initiative to empower local youth and strengthen the security apparatus nationwide.

In his address to the trainees, MP Black praised the government’s steadfast dedication to providing the youth of Bakool with the necessary defensive capabilities to ensure regional security and long-term national stability. He strongly urged the recruits to maintain strict discipline and unwavering commitment as future national service members.

Demonstrating Military Readiness

Upon arrival, camp officials from the 9th Brigade of the 60th Division formally welcomed the federal delegation. The 60th Division has been highly active in securing the region, recently executing coordinated military operations to dismantle extremist networks and apprehend militant commanders across Bakool.
