Officials from the Somali National Army (SNA), the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), and other security allies convened in Mogadishu to deliberate on the ongoing military offensives against Al-Shabaab.
The officials started converging in Mogadishu on Saturday.
The meeting focused on enhancing security reforms and strengthening the capabilities of the Somali army.
Discussions are likely to include strategies for continuing the fight against terrorism, improving coordination among security forces.
The officers will discuss advancing the operational effectiveness of the SNA to ensure long-term stability and security in Somalia too.
