A local non-governmental organization (NGO) donated non-food items (NFIs) to flood victims in Afgooye on September 23rd and 24th.
Save Somali Women and Children (SSWC), an organization founded in 1992, distributed the NFIs to families affected by the raging floods in the region.
While making the donations, SSWC stated that the items would “improve the living conditions” of the affected families.
Further, it assured women and children that their families would benefit from the “enhanced protection and privacy” that the supplies offer them.
SWCC carried out the project with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
