Members of the House of the People (Lower House) are to elect the new Speaker and Deputy Speakers at Afisyoni.
The 10-member committee appointed a week ago to prepare for the elections announced this on Sunday, April 24.
The committee stated that the elections would be in a tent at Afisyoni next to the heavily fortified Halane Base Camp.
Halane Base Camp is right inside Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Legislators from both chambers of the federal parliament are scheduled to elect their speakers and deputy speakers this week.
