Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, the Speaker of the Lower House, has briefed the United Kingdom Ambassador on the reconciliation conference scheduled for Baidoa.
The two met on December 11.
During the meeting, Speaker Madobe informed UK Ambassador Kate Foster about his proposal for reconciling warring parties in Southwest State.
He also updated Ambassador Foster on his priorities as the Speaker of the House of the People (Lower House).
They discussed the importance of peace and stability in the regional state of Southwest too.
Ambassador Foster reminded Speaker Madobe of the crucial role that the federal parliament can play in advancing vital legislation.
