Speaker Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe of the House of the People arrived in Hudur on Thursday morning.
Speaker Madobe arrived ahead of the impending visit by the President of Somalia.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is scheduled to arrive in Hudur region later in the day.
He will be in Hudur a day after traveling to Baidoa to oversee the next phase of the ongoing military operations against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
Federal and local government officials were at the airport to welcome Speaker Madobe to the region.
