President Ahmed Islam Madobe of the semiautonomous state of Jubbaland is expected to address a press conference in Dhusamareb.
Madobe’s press conference is scheduled soon on Friday, February 5.
He has been in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug State, for the ongoing National Consultative Conference on elections.
The conference has attracted participants representing the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS).
Insiders say that Madobe could address the issue of elections in Gedo, Jubbaland.
Gedo has been one of the most contentious issues hindering Jubbaland administration from allowing elections to proceed in the region.
Furthermore, President Madobe is also scheduled to inform the media – and the public at large – about the ongoing meeting.
