Mayor Omar Filish addressed protestors in Mogadishu who were out on the streets expressing their anger at Friday’s killing of two civilians by police.
Filish appealed to the residents to be calm while assuring them that his office would not rest until the killers were brought to book.
The protestors took to the streets where they burnt tires and marched towards the President Mohamed Farmaajo’s official residence to let him know what they felt about police brutality.
Security officers arrested the killer policeman. Later, reports emerged showing that they were holding him in custody while questioning him about the murder of the two civilians.
