Mayor Omar M. M. Filish launched a COVID-19 Response Campaign in Mogadishu on Thursday, August 28.
While launching it, Mayor Filish announced that its theme is “Be Careful, COVID-19 Still Exists.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has destroyed lives in Mogadishu. Benadir Region, where Mogadishu is located, is one of the worst hit places in the country.
Filish, also serving as the Governor of Benadir Region, expressed gratitude to the partners working closely with his administration to ensure that the campaign is successful.
Particularly, he mentioned JPLG, whose LGs are crucial in curbing the spread of the disease.
