Mogadishu – A key meeting on Local Governance operations was held today in Mogadishu, jointly organized by the RCRF Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and the IGFF Technical Committee (IGFF-TC).
The event brought together senior government stakeholders, including the State Minister of Interior, the Accountant General, mayors from eligible districts, and Local Government Focal Points representing various Federal Member States.
Discussions focused on enhancing coordination, strengthening service delivery, and advancing local governance frameworks across Somalia.
The meeting also served as a platform for sharing experiences and aligning national and sub-national priorities in governance reform.
Officials praised the ongoing efforts to improve accountability, transparency, and local administrative capacity through joint initiatives and donor-supported programs.
