Members of the Somali delegation that accompanied President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are in quarantine over COVID-19 fears.
Information from the UAE indicates that President Mohamud remains in perfect health.
Nevertheless, he is currently in self-isolation following close contact that he had with one of the people who tested positive for COVID-19.
President Mohamud has been on a 2-day official visit to the UAE.
The UAE government, through President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, invited the Somali leader officially to the country.
It’s not clear how long President Mohamud would now remain in the UAE.
