Militants in central Somalia executed a woman on August 31, 2021.
The incident took place in a central Somalia town known as Shaw.
Apparently, the Al-Shabaab militants had accused Anfa Hussein Mohamud of being an officer with the HirShabelle Police Force.
An Al-Shabaab-affiliated media reported the incident on Tuesday.
Hundreds of people gathered at the town to witness the execution.
Although the militants have lost huge swathes of land that were previously under their control, they retain a significant presence in the region.
Lately, Somalia National Army (SNA) intensified operations against the militants in the region.
