The military repelled an attack that Al-Shabaab terrorists planned to carry out in Bari-ujeed.
Reports indicate that Somali National Army (SNA) prevented the attacks in an operation undertaken at a location that is near Guriel town.
Military sources prevented the attack on Sunday.
According to the local District Commissioner, Al-Shabaab suffered heavy losses.
The terrorists then fled and abandoned their vehicles behind this enabling the army to secure the area.
