The military killed a leader of Al-Shabaab in an operation carried out in central Somalia.
A communique from the federal government confirmed the death of Ali Ahmed Guure in an operation in Galgadud on Thursday.
Somali National Army (SNA) troops carried out the attack in the area between Barag Sheikh Aamir and Gal’ad.
Two other Al-Shabaab militants lost their lives in the same operation too.
Mohamed Hassan Abukar, a Deputy Commander of the SNA, added that the operation was successful because of valuable local intel.
