The military killed two Al-Shabaab militants in Lower Shabelle.
Somali National Army (SNA) killed the terrorists in an operation undertaken in the region on Sunday evening.
The pre-emptive offensive targeted militants at Garilow, a Lower Shabelle village.
During the operation, government troops also managed to recover a number of weapons. These included two AK47 rifles and several hand grenades.
They also recovered a motorcycle.
