The military training organized by the Turkish government for Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers ended on March 7.
SNA soldiers who had been taking part in the training arrived back in Mogadishu on Monday.
Hassan Mohamed Amardanbe, Somalia’s Minister of Defense, was at Aden Adde International Airport to receive the soldiers back.
He was accompanied by several senior government officials.
These included General Odawah Yusuf Rageh, the Army Chief and others.
The newly trained soldiers are expected to join Gorgor unit, which comprises military personnel trained by Turkey too.
Turkey has been training 150 SNA soldiers since late last year at the Counter Terrorism Training and Exercise Center in Isparta.
