Abdullahi M. Nor, the Minister of Internal Security, has ordered for a detailed report on the detention of a former leader of the Al-Shabaab group.
Nor wrote a letter dated December 26 to Yasin Farey, the Acting Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
The former Al-Shabaab leader in question is Mukhtar Robow.
Robow was arrested in 2018.
At the time, he had left the militant group and had submitted his name in the race to be elected the President of the Southwest State.
Since then, Robow has been in custody.
