Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, the Somaliland Minister of Internal Affairs, says that authorities in the country have arrested 80 percent of all murderers.
The minister said this while briefing a parliamentary committee on Sunday.
He said that security agencies have worked effectively to apprehend 80 percent of all individuals who have committed murder anywhere in Somaliland.
Ahmed said this when he addressed the Permanent Standing Committee of the Upper House of Parliament, which is known as Guurti.
The committee’s interests revolve around the religion, customs, and heritage of Somaliland.
To address these issues and draft the relevant laws, the committee regularly receives updates from ministers.
