Ministerial Taskforce on Emergency Response to Lido Beach Attack Victims Convene First Meeting

The Ministerial Task Force, led by Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama, convened to discuss the emergency response and support measures for the victims of the recent terrorist attack at Mogadishu’s Lido Beach.

Over 35 people were killed in the terrorist attack while dozens more are in hospital receiving medical treatment.

The Deputy Prime Minister-led taskforce convened on Sunday a day after its formation.

The agenda for the first meeting focused on providing aid to the wounded and coordinating efforts to ensure comprehensive assistance to affected families.

This initiative comes in the wake of the attack that resulted in numerous casualties, prompting the government to prioritize victim support and strengthen security measures.
