Two cabinet ministers visited the closed terminal at the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Abdisaid Muse Ali and Duran Farah both visited Movcon Terminal, which was closed last week, on December 27.
Ali is the Minister of Foreign Affairs while Farah serves as the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.
Last week, the foreign affairs ministry ordered the terminal closed.
Apparently, the ministry had taken note of unwelcome activities at the terminal.
The terminal is quite popular with personnel from the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), the European Union (EU), and the United Nations (UN).
Senior officials from the Immigration and Security agencies in Somalia accompanied Ali and Farah in Monday’s tour at the facility.
It’s still not clear when the government would reopen the terminal.
