Mogadishu is hosting the 2022 Women Peace and Security Workshop.
The 2-day workshop kicked off on Wednesday, June 29.
Officials from the federal Ministry of Women and Human Rights Development attended the first day of the workshop.
Their colleagues from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) joined them.
According to the organizers, the targets of the workshop are traditional elders and scholars from two Mogadishu districts.
The districts in question are Abdiaziz and Wartanabadda.
Those attending the workshop will learn about the role that women can play in stabilizing a country such as Somalia.
