Mogadishu is currently hosting a workshop on building permits and the construction process.
The meeting, which kicked off on Thursday, is the brainchild of the Benadir Regional Administration (BRA) Directorate of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development.
It takes place with the support of the United Nations Habitat in Somalia.
Directors and officials from different sectors are attending the workshop.
They include those from the land use and public works department. Their colleagues from urban planning are present as are members of the local police.
