Mogadishu hosted a workshop on electoral dispute resolution mechanisms.
The two-day workshop kicked off on Saturday, June 18, and ended a day later on Sunday, June 19.
Participants at the workshop discussed wide-ranging issues pertaining to the recent parliamentary and presidential elections.
Somalia concluded its electioneering period with the presidential elections on May 15.
The next elections are scheduled for 2026.
At the workshop, participants discussed lessons learned in resolving electoral disputes. They agreed that the country must enhance its efforts in time for the next elections.
