Omar M. M. Filish, the Mayor of Mogadishu, chaired a meeting that discussed security and sanitation services in the region on September 2.
The meeting of the Banadir District Commissioners took place at the Mogadishu City Hall.
All district commissioners were at the meeting.
In the recent times, security in Mogadishu has been under threat, especially from the Al-Shabaab militants.
Mayor Filish also doubles as the Governor of Banadir Region. He’s the head of the Banadir Regional Administration (BRA).
Filish and the district commissioners all agreed that security and proper sanitation are the bedrocks of any meaningful development of their region.
