Mogadishu – Mogadishu Mayor Hassan Mohamed Mungab officially inaugurated the Grade 8 National Exam today, marking the start of a key academic milestone for thousands of Somali students.
The exams commenced across the Benadir region, with a total of 41,639 primary school students participating.
Speaking at the launch, Mayor Mungab praised the students’ commitment and encouraged them to strive for excellence. He also emphasized the importance of education in rebuilding Somalia and securing its future.
The event reflects the government’s continued efforts to strengthen the national education system and promote standardized assessments.
