The Mayor of Mogadishu has launched the construction of a new road in Karan District.
Mayor Yusuf Madale launched the construction of Jamhuriya Road on Sunday.
He was flanked by several officers from his administration.
Madale expressed hope that the road’s construction would be a huge boon to the local economy.
“The construction of the road is proof of the Benadir Administration’s vision,” said Mayor Madale.
“We seek to transform Mogadishu into a city that’s not only livable but also resilient,” he added.
His administration will make Mogadishu capable of coping with future challenges and opportunities too.
