The Mayor of Mogadishu has accused Al-Shabaab of planting spies in the regional and federal governments.
Mayor Yusuf Hussein Jimale accused the terrorist group of relying on its spies within the government to provide the information needed to launch attacks.
He said this while addressing a public rally held in Mogadishu to support the ongoing offensives against Al-Shabaab.
Mayor Jimale added that the recent attempted attack in the nation’s capital would not have taken place without any inside information.
