Last night, Somali Police Force (SPF) carried out an operation that saw several youths arrested in Wadajir District, Banadir Region.
The operation, which focused on Halane village, saw many youths arrested, rushed to an unknown location, searched, questioned, and later released.
However, several suspects were arrested.
According to local officials, the operation was yet one more measure put in place to tackle increased cases of insecurity.
Al-Shabaab seems to be reemerging in the city after years of staying away because of the increased operation by AMISOM and SNA troops.
In recent days, residents of Wajadir District have complained of increased insecurity, especially at night.
